Just the best location! The view of the bayou in late afternoons was breathtaking! The cottage was very nice and clean, well equipped. The shower and tub was the best! Zach and Taylor were promptly in communication.

Hosts were responsive and accepted our booking day of. They were flexible on check-in for us to drop by to turn on the AC so we could return to a cool room after our afternoon kayaking. Place was clean and tidy. Bikes were a great addition to ride into downtown for dinner and shopping. Morning coffee was peaceful on the front porch. Thanks for a nice stay!

We reached out to the owners late the evening prior to our arrival (last minute booking), and they were quick to respond and get things set up on their end to allow us to check in on time. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to understand. The AC was set and cool, pristine bedding and all the items we could need (water, coffee, towels, soaps, etc). This was by far the most comfortable pillows and bedding I've slept on. We also took a late night bike ride through town with the included bikes. The bathroom has a his/her set with additional makeup mirrors and towels - which my wife enjoyed using. The walk in closet at the end of the bathroom allowed us to have a spot for all of our belongings and included extra shelving. We made use of the desk to keep up with some projects as well. The lighting includes a couple of lamps, and a porch light that gives the room a nice glow overnight. The area outside is private and does not have thru traffic at all. Quaint place for sure!

The cottage was absolutely adorable! It was a great stay and the hosts were very helpful every step of the way! The best little getaway weekend! Just what my husband I needed before school starts back!

Taylor and Zach's place was one of my favorite places I have stayed in, this place was awesome, it was right on the water, the views were beautiful! the screened in porch was perfect for sitting outside at night, we just loved everything about this place we will definitely be back!Highly recommend this place.

My husband and I love Jefferson — it’s become our go-to getaway, even though we live just an hour away. He grew up visiting, but I hadn’t been until we started dating. Now it feels like a second home. We usually stay in local hotels, but after discovering The French Cottages, we won’t stay anywhere else. We booked Alsace and it was stunning — timeless with modern touches. The room was stocked with thoughtful amenities: coffee, snacks, water, sleeping masks, couples games, and even wine glasses and an opener. The jetted tub, fireplace, and Roku TV made it extra cozy. On our first night, we accidentally broke a wine glass. I messaged the hosts, Taylor and Zach, and they were so kind and understanding — just as they were throughout our stay. They were attentive, responsive, and welcoming. We had a flawless experience and will absolutely return for future visits.

The cottage was so comfy and the neighborhood was quiet. Bonus was the adorable cats that came for morning scratches.
It was walkable distance to the square but we decided to rent a golf cart so we could drive around and look at all of the historic homes. We had a great trip and will definitely be back!

The house was exactly as described. It was so peaceful and we loved hanging out on the screened porch in the evening. If were in the area, we will be staying here again!

Perfect for our weekend getaway! The bed and linens are beautiful, soft, comfy, and the host included mints and eye masks on our pillows! The cottage was spotless, welcoming, and it was obvious the host put a lot of thought and care into this cottage. Zach and Taylor were sweet and helpful, and we appreciated the last minute booking. We didn't use the bathtub but it is huge and looked inviting. The hosts offered a variety of coffee, creamers, and snacks. We enjoyed our weekend in Jefferson shopping and fishing. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this cottage or any rentals this host offers. Thew host went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
